I’m running because I believe town government should be steady, organized, transparent, and focused on the basics: responsible budgets, strong local services, clear communication, and thoughtful planning for the future.

Local leadership should be about people and community — not labels.

This campaign is about protecting what makes South Bristol special while making sure our town government works well for the people it serves.

PREPARED FOR THE JOB

The Supervisor’s role is not just about having ideas. It requires budgeting, communication, staff coordination, public process, county representation, and follow-through.

As a current South Bristol Town Councilwoman, I understand the responsibility of serving this community. I have worked to ask questions, support transparency, and keep town government focused on its core responsibilities.

Professionally, I have managed budgets, vendors, communications, websites, analytics, teams, and complex projects. My background includes research, strategic communication, nonprofit work, municipal clients, and public-facing leadership.

I know how to organize information, evaluate options, ask the right questions, and communicate clearly.

That matters in town government.

PRIORITIES FOR SOUTH BRISTOL

South Bristol does not need flashy promises. We need steady, practical leadership focused on the things that matter most: responsible budgets, open government, strong local services, and protecting the character of our town.

Responsible Budgets and Low Taxes

South Bristol has a long tradition of careful budgeting and low taxes. I believe that should continue.

Every decision should be made with respect for taxpayers. That means careful budgeting, long-term planning, responsible use of reserves, and understanding the full cost before committing the Town to new projects or obligations.

Open, Transparent Government

Residents should not have to guess what their town government is doing.

I believe in clear meeting notices, accessible information, recorded meetings, understandable finances, and a public process people can trust.

Transparency is not just a word. It is how town government earns confidence.

Clear and Fairly Enforced Code

South Bristol’s Town Code should be clear, current, and applied fairly.

I would support a comprehensive review of the Town Code to clean up outdated language, clarify confusing sections, and help ensure equal enforcement across the community.

Residents deserve to know what the rules are, and they deserve confidence that those rules are enforced consistently.

Protecting Canandaigua Lake

Canandaigua Lake is central to South Bristol’s identity, economy, and quality of life.

I support a fiscally responsible approach to lake protection that works through local watershed partnerships, uses available state and regional grant funding, and remains cautious about unfunded mandates that shift costs onto local taxpayers.

Protecting the lake does not have to mean growing government or raising taxes. It means being proactive, practical, and committed to long-term stewardship.

Maintaining Public Spaces

Our public spaces matter.

I want Town-owned spaces to reflect the care and pride people have in South Bristol. That means focusing on practical maintenance, regular upkeep, and improvements that are realistic, fundable, and easy to maintain over time.

MEET MEG

Meg Fuller is a South Bristol Town Councilwoman, communications professional, community volunteer, and mom raising her family here in South Bristol.

Professionally, Meg has led marketing, communications, budgets, vendors, public-facing campaigns, websites, and digital strategy for local and regional organizations. She previously founded a digital marketing agency serving tourism, retail, municipal, and nonprofit clients, and her background includes research, strategy, and public communication.

Meg holds a Master’s degree in Geography from Michigan State University and a Bachelor’s degree from Colgate University. Her community involvement includes service with the South Bristol Town Board, Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance, F.F. Thompson Foundation, Winter in Canandaigua, Canandaigua Lake Trout Derby, and Naples Open Cupboard.

Most importantly, Meg is a neighbor, a mom, and someone who cares deeply about South Bristol’s future.
