South Bristol is a community of different neighborhoods, experiences, and perspectives. Some residents attend every meeting. Many others are working, raising families, caring for loved ones, or simply can’t be there in person.

The decisions made at Town Hall still affect all of us — our property, our taxes, our roads, our lake, our rural character, and the future of the place we call home.

Serving on the Town Board has given me a firsthand understanding of how much preparation good local government requires.

Leadership means reading the documents, asking questions before a vote, understanding the cost and responsibility behind a decision, and following through after it is made.

I’ve learned that asking hard questions and getting things done are not opposites. South Bristol deserves both.

My background in geography, community planning, research, business, and local service has shaped how I approach public decisions: understand the place, listen to the people who live there, look at the facts, and plan for the long term.

PLANNING EXPERIENCE
Planning for the future starts with understanding the community.
I’ve worked with comprehensive planning from the Town of Horicon to helping move South Bristol’s Comprehensive Plan update forward. Good planning brings community voices, data, land use, infrastructure, and long-term priorities together before decisions are made.
GEOGRAPHY & RESEARCH
I’ve spent years studying the relationship between people and place.
I earned my master’s degree in Geography from Michigan State University. My graduate research examined how people interact with their local environments and how access, transportation, land use, and community conditions influence everyday decisions.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
The whole community gives you a better perspective.
My involvement with local nonprofits, community organizations, businesses, families, and volunteers keeps me connected to people with different experiences and priorities across our area. That perspective matters when decisions affect the whole community.

Canandaigua Lake, our hills, open spaces, and rural character are part of why people choose South Bristol. Growth and change should respect what makes this community special and the reasonable use of private property.
TAKE CARE OF THE BASICS
Maintain well. Improve wisely.
Roads, infrastructure, public property, facilities, and essential services deserve consistent attention. South Bristol should take good care of what we have while making thoughtful improvements that meet real needs, are well planned, and are built to last.
RESPECT TAXPAYERS
Know the full cost before committing public dollars.
Spending decisions should have a clear purpose, a complete price, a funding plan, and an understanding of future maintenance. Responsible budgeting means thinking beyond the initial purchase.
KEEP RULES FAIR & UNDERSTANDABLE
Clear rules. Consistent enforcement. Common sense.
Residents should know what the rules are and expect them to be applied fairly and consistently. Town policies should protect the community without creating unnecessary confusion or unreasonable limits on property use.

South Bristol is where my family and I have built our life. The decisions made today will shape the community we live in tomorrow.

I care about protecting what makes this place special while still making thoughtful improvements for the future — protecting the lake and our rural character, respecting property owners, taking care of the things our town depends on, and making decisions we can explain and stand behind.

I’m running because I care deeply about what South Bristol becomes next.
