Why I’m Running

South Bristol is a special place. Our lake, hills, roads, neighborhoods, small businesses, and rural character are worth protecting.

But protecting what makes South Bristol special takes more than good intentions. It takes preparation, follow-through, fiscal discipline, and a town government residents can trust.

I’m running for Town Supervisor because I believe South Bristol needs leadership that asks questions before acting, respects the public process, communicates clearly, and does the work.

This campaign is about bringing common sense back to town government — and bringing true transparency back to South Bristol.

Prepared. Practical. Rooted.

PREPARED

I do the homework. I read the materials, ask questions, research the details, and work to understand the full picture before decisions are made.

The Supervisor’s job is not just about having ideas. It requires budgeting, communication, staff coordination, public process, compliance, county representation, and follow-through.

I bring Town Board experience and professional experience managing budgets, communications, vendors, technology, research, and complex projects.

PRACTICAL

I believe local government should focus on the basics: responsible budgets, clear communication, good process, core services, public spaces, code clarity, and protecting South Bristol’s character.

Before the Town commits taxpayer money, changes procedures, or takes on new obligations, residents deserve to know the cost, the plan, and the long-term impact.

That is common sense government.

ROOTED

South Bristol is my home. I live here, serve here, raise my family here, and care deeply about this community’s future.

I am running because I believe South Bristol deserves leadership that is prepared, approachable, transparent, and grounded in the needs of the people who live here.

Prepared for the Job

The Supervisor’s role is not just about having ideas. It requires preparation, judgment, budgeting, communication, staff coordination, public process, county representation, and follow-through.

As a current South Bristol Town Councilwoman, I understand the responsibility of serving this community. I have worked to ask questions, review the details, support transparency, and keep town government focused on its core responsibilities.

I earned my Master’s degree in Geography from Michigan State University, where my research focused on how people interact with their communities and local systems. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from Colgate University, where I graduated magna cum laude with honors and completed a minor in Economics.

Professionally, I have managed budgets, communications, vendors, websites, events, teams, and public-facing projects — experience that directly translates to the day-to-day work of town government.

South Bristol deserves a Supervisor who will do the homework, ask the right questions, understand the details, and make decisions with care.

My Priorities

True Transparency

Residents should not have to guess what their town government is doing.

True transparency means clear meeting notices, accessible information, recorded meetings, understandable finances, open discussion, and a public process people can trust.

Transparency is not just a word. It is how town government earns confidence.

Fiscal Responsibility

South Bristol has a long tradition of careful budgeting and low taxes. That should continue.

I believe every decision should be made with respect for taxpayers. That means careful budgeting, responsible use of reserves, practical planning, and understanding the full cost before committing the Town to new projects or obligations.

Common-Sense Government

Town government should be steady, organized, and focused on serving residents.

That means asking questions before acting, following proper process, communicating clearly, and making decisions based on facts — not confusion, pressure, or politics.

Clear and Fair Rules

Residents deserve to know what the rules are, and they deserve confidence that those rules are applied fairly.

I support reviewing Town policies, procedures, and code so they are clear, current, understandable, and consistently enforced.

Protecting South Bristol’s Future

I am committed to protecting Canandaigua Lake, preserving rural character, maintaining public spaces, supporting core services, and planning carefully for the future.

Protecting South Bristol does not mean growing government or making flashy promises. It means doing the work, respecting taxpayers, and making practical decisions that serve the whole community.

South Bristol needs leadership that is prepared, practical, and rooted in the community.
